First, I hear all these people saying, "Trade Iguodala, he's not going to get any better." That is a bunch of bull. Yes last season was a let down and his points were low BUT, he had a career high in RPG, APG, and BPG. So everything besides scoring he did good in. He has also done some things that very few other players in history hav done, I read it in an article like averaging over 15 ppg, 5apg, and 5rpg among small forwards and the only other players to do that were Mello and Lebron. He isnt terrible at shooting at all so people need to get there facts straing, 3 for 3 from 3? Doesnt sound bad to me. His shot is WAYYY better now.
So, overall, Sixers hsould keep him because he is definately going to be an All-Star this year and his contract isnt his fault. People also say he cant be, "The Guy" LAST SEASON WAS HIS FIRST SEASON AS THE GUY!! He always had help, AI, Webber, Miller, they thought Brand was gonna help but he didnt, he can be The Guy watch and see, he is the most athletic player in the leage, says some analyst and has one of the best all-round games. And it isnt his fault for last season, it was Eddie Jordans.
Secondy, stop getting so many bigs. They have alot of bigs now but not enough PGs, Bigs they have Speights,Hawes,Nocioni,Battie, Smith,Brand, they dont need that many PGs Holiday and Williams. Try and get more PGs maybe one more, resign Iverson?
Third, have a good starting lineup. PG-Holiday, great kid that has a bright future ahead of him
SG-Turner, the one they say is going to save this franchise, but he is a perfect player for Iggy, yes they have similarities but thats a good thing and Iggy doesnt always need the ball the be offective, he draws alot of attention when hes just around it. He is the perfect Robin to Iggys Batman even though Iggy doesnt want to be Batman.
SF- Iggy, their best player, on the verge of becoming a star in the league and an elite player, says some analyst. He can still grow, belive me he can still grow, and he can be The Guy, he had a taste of it last season and he will go full throttle this season.
PF-Young, hes young and a good post presense. His only problem is his game disappears at the end after a certain part of the season.
C- its going to be a battle so different games means different starters for this postiton.
Finally scoring, he will have to carry the team? Holiday isnt ready yet, maybe in about 2 years he will. Turner struggled through Summer League and shows that he needs to grow more, so the only logical option is Iggy.
1st option-Iggy
2nd-Holiday
3rd-Turner
Turner and Holidays can be switched around sometimes.
Si use this formula and your in for a good season.
Any thoughts? How the Sixers can improve?
ya i agree hopefully evan turner will do good next season
