New Heater Control Valve in Ford KA is causing a rubbery smell. Any ideas what it might be?

I've just had the Heater Control Valve in my 54-reg Ford KA replaced after the heater was blowing hot constantly.

Now there is a rubbery/plasticy smell coming from the vents and from under the bonnet.

Is this just the new valve taking some time to settle in or has it been installed wrongly?

Thanks!New Heater Control Valve in Ford KA is causing a rubbery smell. Any ideas what it might be?I have fitted loads of them to Fiestas and Ka's and never had that problem. Sounds like it has been fitted incorrectly, take it back to the garage and get them to have a look/smell.
