They are like the same company...What's the difference? For Example I'm looking at the 2008 Ford Escape and the 2008 Mercury Mainer. What's the difference between those two cars? There is not much of a difference besides look. The Ecape comes in 3 models and the Mariner comes in 2. They both come from the same plant in Kansas and both come with more gidgets then before. It is more of a marketing gimic. Mercury's are normally marketed as a little more classier.
