I have a 2000 Ford Mustang and i have a rod knocking and piston slap and i need to rebuild the engine. I am well versed in older pre-1990 technology and i'm wondering what kind of tricky areas/troubles am i looking at, can the engine be taken out from the top or from under the car. The engine and transmission is mounted to the "engine cradle" and can come out as a single unit, That is the way it goes in at the factory.
