The pods are held into the rubber steering wheel cover by just the rubber itself, no other fasteners. Take a pocket knife, slip it between the pod %26amp; the rubber, and slowly pry the pod out. I got new pods for my '02 Merc, with the stereo controls in the pod, for about $120 directly from Ford.
