How do you remove the ignition cylinder on a 1965 Ford Mustang?

I am restoring a 1965 Ford Mustang and I am having a hard time removing the ignition cylinder?How do you remove the ignition cylinder on a 1965 Ford Mustang?To remove the key cylinder you have to turn the key to the accessory position, stick a paperclip into the little pinhole on the face of the key cylinder and then turn the key around a little further in the counter-clockwise direction and it will come out.How do you remove the ignition cylinder on a 1965 Ford Mustang?If you're talking about the lock cylinder then it's as follows. At the bottom of the lock you'll find a small hole. Using a paper clip or similar item push it as far into the hole as you can while turning the key fully counter clockwise and pull the lock free from the cylinder housing. The cylinder housing is removed by twisting the rear to release it. These procedures are outlined in detail in the shop manual. If you are going to restore it I'd strongly advise purchasing one. Lightly tapping the ring with a screw driver in a counter-clockwise motion will remove it. BE CAREFUL, I have slipped the screwdriver and gouged the crap out of my dash.How do you remove the ignition cylinder on a 1965 Ford Mustang?
