Will the new Ford engines run even stronger at Texas Motorspeedway with the restrictor plate removed?

Matt Kenseth had the top speed at Talldega with the new Ford engine.

He had a top speed of 199 with a restrictor plate. Since Texas is one of the fastest track in the NASCAR circuit, do you think we may see a little dominance by Roush Racing at Texas Motor Speedway on 11-8-09?Will the new Ford engines run even stronger at Texas Motorspeedway with the restrictor plate removed? If they race the new FR9 engine at Texas then they should do well provided the valve springs hold up. I know from previous articles that they said they might use them at Texas, Phoenix, and Homestead but ... I could not find anything saying they were going to actually use the FR9 at Texas tomorrow. Seeing as the engines did well at Talladega and there were no engine losses then Roush may go ahead and use Texas as a mulligan and try the engines again. Texas is a fast track and tough on the engines. It would be wise to go ahead and use Texas as a test session for the FR9 engines seeing as there is a no testing policy. Also I don't think NASCAR has even discussed removing that no testing policy.

I'm not sure that the Ford teams will benefit as much from the new engines at Texas until they submit a new front to NASCAR for approval with a smaller radiator opening. That smaller opening will translate to more down force or .... a better handling car.

Matt Kenseth might win Texas if he was to use the new FR9 engine and it holds up. Carl will not use the engine because he is in the chase. Will the new Ford engines run even stronger at Texas Motorspeedway with the restrictor plate removed?
I don't think a plate race proves much. The speeds there are all about the draft. Engines don't seem to have huge durability problems there either.

A real test of the engine will be somewhere like Michigan/Texas/or other 1.5 mile and 2 mile tracks with sustained high RPM's or Martinsville/Indy/Pocono where you need a lot of low end power to get off the flat tight corners. Will the new Ford engines run even stronger at Texas Motorspeedway with the restrictor plate removed?Since the 24 got the pole and Dodge engines were quick on qualifying, who really knows? Will the new Ford engines run even stronger at Texas Motorspeedway with the restrictor plate removed?
noWill the new Ford engines run even stronger at Texas Motorspeedway with the restrictor plate removed?I think they will run stronger at the nascar race at Texas. I have just been wondering why they took so long in the season to surprise us w/ the new engine.
