What can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird?

i have a 1991 Ford Thunderbird and want to improve the mpg. i am not willing to do a motor swap or anything that extensive. also any info on improving the performance of the car would appreciated. thanksWhat can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird? What kind of mileage are you getting exactly? The T-bird is a heavy car and the N/A 3.8L has to work hard to get it moving. Don't expect more than 18-19 MPG overall from it. Though on the highway should be getting around 23-24 MPG.What can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird?
exchange it for toyota tundra or nissan's frontier...What can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird?Honestly, the biggest thing you can do to a car to improve mileage is to control your right foot.

Once you realize that every time you press on the brake pedal, you are just flushing away the money you spent to get you up to that speed. If you're between traffic lights, don't jump on the gas when you have to brake at the red light up ahead anyways...gradually speed up.
tune up

keep tires inflatedWhat can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird?your a paradox ken/more power more fuel used/extensive define???i guess you have tuned and such as filters and tires pressure???and oh by the way what is the mpg nowWhat can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird?
Assuming it is Fuel Injected, which i think it is, you can get you fuel injectors serviced. Cost around $80. Change the air filter, Make sure the tire pressures are good. A turbo would greatly increase the performance of your vehicle with virtually no impact on your gas mileage.
proper air pressure in tires, new air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, injector cleaner, remove all extra weight in carWhat can i do to improve the mpg of a 1991 Ford Thunderbird?
