Why is it that Ford Mustangs go fast in a straight line but do poor going through turns?

Why is that and why hasn't ford fixed this problem after all these years of revamping the Mustang? Why is it that Ford Mustangs go fast in a straight line but do poor going through turns?I am assuming that you have never owned a Mustang and are just repeating what you have heard from others who haven't owned one.

My 2000 GT, shod with Goodyear Eagles, will understeer slightly on high speed turns, change to a drift with a little more throttle, and hang the back end out with a little more throttle. This is as it should be and is perfect for a vehicle of that size and weight.

My previous car, an 86 GT would behave in a similar fashion, with side traction so tight, that for safety sake, throttle application in a bend was necessary to drift the rear end to prevent a roll over. The car would flip over before spinning out on dry pavement if care wasn't taken to break traction a little. There are plenty of pictures from back in the day with one of these Mustangs on 3 or 2 wheels in a corner.

Sorry to contradict the "experts", but from the mid 80's on, the Mustang GT or other Mustangs with handling packages are just about perfect in the handling department for someone who KNOWS how to drive. Why is it that Ford Mustangs go fast in a straight line but do poor going through turns?
they haven't fix this problem because the mustang must be cheap for lots of plp to buy it so it need to be cheaper than others cars plus the mustang has so much aftermarket support than what ever you wanna upgrade in your mustang just buy it %26amp; you have so many mustangs tuners like roush, steeda, saleen, cerviny, etc they can sell you a better mustang with warranty in a ford dealer and they handle pretty good ,bigger brakes. Why is it that Ford Mustangs go fast in a straight line but do poor going through turns? It's a muscle car. It's not supposed to go around corners. Why is it that Ford Mustangs go fast in a straight line but do poor going through turns?

Car %26amp; Driver and MotorTrend both did a direct comparison of the new 2010 Camaro, 2010 Dodge Challanger %26amp; 2010 Mustang. While the Camaro had the higher horsepower and Challanger the higher speeds, both said the Mustang was the best handling of the three, and better than many "high end" cars they test. Basically, they said it handled an extremely curvy mountain road wonderfully.

Also, I had a 2003 GT that handled great as well. No pulling, drifiting or any other issues.
