Has anyone replaced the rear tailshaft bearing in a Ford Automatic transmission?

I have a 92' Ford E-250 van with a transmission problem. The driveshaft yoke can be moved about a 1/2 inch up, down, and sideways causing a radical vibration throughout the van. There are several bolts attaching the tail housing to the main transmission body. Will I find servicable bearings if I remove the tail housing? It is a three speed with overdrive.Has anyone replaced the rear tailshaft bearing in a Ford Automatic transmission?SURE....its easy

With the tail shaft out, use a bar of heavy screwdriver, use the tool to pry it out. Moving the tool about 15 degrees each time, you will see it will move out little by little easily.

With the new berring and seal, just tap it inot position and replace the tail shaft and your done.

This should take 15 minutes if it is your first time, 30 minutes.

Go get it....its easy.
