Batman: Arkham Asylum; Is it okay for younger kids to play?

I want to get this for my younger brother as he likes Batman, but he's only 12 and I don't want to let him play something bad for him.

Tell me if the game is super violent or swears a lot....and by super violent I mean by ripping people apart and blood, not just punching and kicking people...thanks.Batman: Arkham Asylum; Is it okay for younger kids to play?
It's just punching and kicking, Batman doesn't kill Joker's henchman, he just punches and kicks them until their unconscious- no blood or gore or ripping apart. I'm pretty sure 12 year olds can handle Batman punching and kicking Joker's henchman. There's not any cursing either. It's a really fun long game and I'd recommend it.
In my opinion, the ESRB rating system is in place for a reason.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Arkham Asylum has a "T" rating.

Yes, some kids are more mature than others and many are able to tell the difference between fantasy and reality but problems arise when the warnings are not heeded, parents wanting to sue the video game industry or ban violent media because they purchased a title that was inappropriate for their child and then got upset when he or she started acting out being a prime example.Batman: Arkham Asylum; Is it okay for younger kids to play?
I beat the game and don't find it's bad for younger ages to play. there isn't blood and stuff. majority of the tiime batman knocks out the bad guys. you can hang people though. if he's mature enough he can play it.
It's good enough for a 12 year old, but Arkham Asylum is pretty dark for any kids under the age of 8. It's more like The Dark Knight in terms of mood. I would say it's ok for him though.Batman: Arkham Asylum; Is it okay for younger kids to play?
i suggest from ages 9-older

batman is a violent game kinda

but just fighting is not really good for kids under the age of 8

unless if your son is like a fighter then its ok
