Is it worth paying to replace the head gasket on my Ford Fiesta?

Hi I have R reg (1998) Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec engine where I think that they head gasket. Ive been told that the this will cost 500-600 to repair. I have look on the parkers guide and the car should get from 拢500-拢800 it has only done 68k miles. Do you think it is worth be paying for the repairs or should I try to trade in the car or scrap it?Is it worth paying to replace the head gasket on my Ford Fiesta?I've had several Fiestas and they are good little cars, but unless you want to do the job yourself I would cut my losses and trade it for another car. You could try Kseal, or Steelseal, from Ebay.

Kseal has worked for me before.



Try running with a loosened water filler cap,you will loose some coolant,just dont let the water level get too low.

Keep the engine revs down (use high gears- change up early), you dont have to go any faster than the speed limit.

i guess everyone has money to burn you know what you got and it has low mileage i would fix it and drive till it dies you could spend thousands on a used car and have the same problem its a gamble but you know how the car you have has been taking care of

Why not buy a Haynes manual for about 14 quid and do the job yourself for a quarter of the garage price?
