If things are in good shape 1/4 the original price rock bottom.

If the stuff is beat up you may have a problem even giving the stuff away at a garage sale.

The issue with garage/yard sales is most people going to them won't pay allot for items because they are looking for bargains to re-sell at a huge profit, especially if they can get you to go way below what you know and they know stuff is really worth.

I would choose a reasonable price, price it slightly higher then don't go below what amount you would be willing to let things go for.

Or don't price things at all then when they ask go a bit higher, then haggle the price to where you both are happy.

Don't be discouraged by the person that blurts out something to say about how high your prices are, those are the ones looking to re-sell your stuff for a profit.

I usually tell those people

"If I'm going to give it away I'll donate it to the good-will myself"

Sometimes selling things in groups or lots is a good way to get rid of some junk that you really don't want. Like putting a nice piece on top of some not so good pieces and selling them as one lot.How much should I price this stuff for at a garage sale?
Typically you can sell items at a garage sale for 10 to 20% of retail value. So make sure you are never going to use any of that stuff again. Also, larger items will be tough sells because people typically only bring pocket change to garage sales. But a large item at good price will sell when the right person sees it. The hagglers will show up early and will be looking for large items they can resell at a profit. Don't give big discounts on your stuff too early in the morning because people will come later who will actually pay your prices for those items. After noon you can start discounting stuff a little more because traffic will slow down some and you may not find a buyer.
